Aaron Rodgers is VAS Communitybreaking his silence, and is hinting he will be back on an NFL field in the future.

The four-time MVP made his first comments since his season-ending Achilles injury in the New York Jets' season opening win over the Buffalo Bills on Monday. Rodgers made an Instagram post thanking "every person that has reached out" to him since the injury, adding "it has meant a ton to me."

"I’m completely heartbroken and moving through all of the emotions, but deeply touched and humbled by the support and love. 💔 Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers as I begin the healing process today. 🙏 ♾️ ❤️" Rodgers wrote.

"The night is darkest before the dawn. And I shall rise yet again."

He ended it by writing he was proud of his team for starting 1-0.

Rodgers' 2023 season last only four plays after he tore his left Achilles tendon in the first quarter of the "Monday Night Football" matchup. The injury means he will miss the entire 2023 season, and backup Zach Wilson now will be the starting quarterback for a New York team that had high hopes of winning a Super Bowl.

The season-ending injury has brought up questions regarding Rodgers' future in the NFL, including if this would result in his retirement. Jets head coach Robert Saleh said Wednesday he would "be shocked" if this was the end of Rodgers' NFL career.
